The video "Beautiful Surprises" was created by Young Audiences of Maryland to illustrate the power of arts-integrated learning, especially with children who have special needs. I was artist-in-residence for five years at the Baer School in Baltimore, exploring developmental skills, literacy skills and STEM skills with children who have multiple, severe special needs and their teachers. "Beautiful Surprises" tells the story of two of our dear friends.
